Hello Students and welcome to the Read to Lead Virtual PSA Project.  In this project you will develop a Public Service Announcement to bring attention and drive action to an issue of your choosing.  

You will start with the introduction page and then go through Sessions 1-7, in order, until the project is completed. 

 

INTRODUCTION

Before we get started,  check out modules 1 and 2 below. They contain resources that are there to help you.  We even have resources for parents or staff members who may be doing this with you, or if you want to do this as a family! 

Module 3-Introduction

Hello students!

Most sessions begin with an interactive module, and end with an assignment with handout to complete.  This is designed to be done individually, but you also have prompts so you can do this with a group.  Let’s get started with this  module to learn all about our Virtual PSA project

SESSION 1 - BIG IDEAS

Module 4-Big Idea Intro

Welcome Back!

Save your files somewhere on your computer, or on a drive. We suggest you keep a project folder and save all of your completed documents there.

Today we will start with module 4 below. When finished, please DOWNLOAD the assignments and complete the documents using the quotes from Oprah Winfrey and Margaret Mead.

Hello students, Let’s Jump right in!

Please do the following module.  You should then complete the attached survey by interviewing friends, family or members of your community. Work independently or with your team to determine problems, needs, and solutions within your community.

Now it’s time to wrap up session 2. Complete the next module to finish session 2

Complete the module.  You should download the handouts while in the module. In case you don’t, we’ve also attached the reflection document and it’s example as a reference.

Complete the following module.  Then complete the research document while listening to your playlist of songs that remind you of the theme. 

We’ve also included an example of the research document for your reference.
